Smolenskaya area of Central Moscow
This apartment is located in a very well-known area of Moscow called Smolenskaya. The area is home to Old Arbat which leads to the Kremlin. Old Arbat is a pedestrian street full of small shops, cafes, theaters and home to a well known, high quality souvenir market. The area is also right on the Ring Road - Sadovaya street. Both sides of the street are full of businesses and restaurants including Impex Bank, the Golden Ring Hotel, El Patio pizza, Planet of Sushi, different coffee shops McCafe, Coffee House and more. Smolenskaya also is right by Kutuzovsky Prospect, one of Moscow´s most famous thoroughfares. This area is situated just west of the Kremlin. Red Square is within walking distance. When walking towards the Kremlin, you will pass many ancient monuments, theatres and other culturally interesting spots.

The Old Arbat area is one of the oldest areas of central Moscow, dating back to the 1500s. The Arbat is a symbol of old Moscow and is one of the most famous Moscow streets perpetuated in poems, prose, songs and movies. The street has gone from being the headquarters of Ivan the Terrible’s secret police, the Oprichina to the center of aristocratic life in Moscow in the 18th century to finally being the center of the Russian intelligentsia and bohemian life in the capital. Here you can find the memorial flat of Pushkin, memorial houses of Marina Tsvetaeva and Mikhail Lermontov. At the address of 2 Arbat street there is a famous restaurant "Prague" which has been here since 1872. The Vakhtangov Theatre, one of the most famous theatres in Moscow, is also situated on Arbat street. Like in Hollywood there is a Russian "Walk of Fame" here.
The street is very popular among tourists. Here you can find a lot of well-known cafes and restaurants, nice souvenir shops. In spring and summer Arbat street is full of street musicians, performers and artists at work.
