Seascapes from the famous Crimean marine artist Sergey Grigorash are currently on display in Moscow at the Central House of Artists.

The popular band 3 Doors Down will give two concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg on May 31st and June 2 respectively this summer.

A special exhibition dedicated to Russian émigré ballet dancer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov, celebrating his 65th birthday, is open in Baryshnikov's former home, St. Petersburg.

In line with many other popular European tourist destinations, Moscow has released it's first version of a tourist card, called the Moscow Pass, which allows for free entry to several museums.

Happy Birthday to the St. Petersburg Metro, which turn 57 this week. The St. Petersburg Metro was opened Nov. 15th, 1955.

The Russian government is currently considering inviting foreign low cost airlines to do business in Russia. That could mean popular companies like Ryanair and EasyJet could be coming to the Russian market.

The largest private collection of works by the world famous French sculptor August Rodin is currently on display in Moscow at the Tsaritsino museum.

Local rock club in St. Petersburg celebrates 18th anniversary. Fish Fabrique is the oldest surviving rock club of it's kind in St. Petersburg.

The city of Moscow is curently planning to lauch a new city public transport tracking app, allowing users to follow the progress of buses, trams and trolleybuses throughout the city.

The famous Kresty Prison in St. Petersburg is set to be vacated by 2014 and the city is currently discussing possible projects for the sites further development. Such projects include turning the former prison into a hotel, a museum, art gallery, business center and an art cluster with places for local artists to work.

The St. Petersburg government has announced that Buses will run at night along the route of the 5 metro lines.

St. Petersburg is known for many things, but in the summer time it's all about the white nights! The city's northern location creates very long days in summer where the sun sets around midnight and rises at four in the morning, but it never really gets dark.

The drawings of the great Russian singer Fedor Ivanovich Shalyapin are on display in Moscow. Most people know the name Shalypin for being a world famous Russian singer, but not many know that he was a skilled graphic artists also.

Moscow authorities have promised to introduce English subtitles for theatre performances across the city. Now visitors will be able to enjoy Russian theatre along with its many other arts!
